The brightness is about average for a flashlight that runs on 4 AA batteries. It has a middle access point and the concentrated beam cannot be focused. This ray is neither good nor bad just because this light is made. The battery is the weak link, it's weak and doesn't last long. The shutter button was handy and you just had to press it to make it glow. The overall design (except for the battery holder) is decent. The flashlight is small and light, but I sent it back due to the unobtrusive light output and weak battery mount. For $17.99 there are lighter, more durable options.
