A solid flashlight that fits like a gun. Although advertised as a spotlight, it can also be considered a spotlight as it emits a wide beam of light. Unlike some other GearLight products I've used which have a crisp white light, this one glows more amber even though it's an LED. Cannot confirm the waterproof performance of the product. Like all Gearlights products, this flashlight is bright. You can hand hold it or flip the stand and use the multi-position stand when you need to light in want to record in an area where you need to work with both hands. The brightness is about average for a flashlight that runs on 4 AA batteries. It has a middle access point and the concentrated beam cannot be focused. This ray is neither good nor bad just because this light is made. The battery is the weak link, it's weak and doesn't last long. I drive a garbage truck and serve many farms at 2am. I have to play hide and seek to find the cans, so this light comes in very handy! It's super bright, feels very durable (it gets thrown around in my cockpit quite a bit) and is very light, a must when scanning in the dark. The only downside I have against it is that I have to constantly switch between modes .I appreciate the low light setting but this flash mode is just a pain to keep clicking the modes I just want to pull the trigger and see

I bought this to replace a Stanley rechargeable headlamp that was no longer charging. This one runs on AA batteries, which I prefer. I use this at home for projects and on my sailboat.
