I bought this to replace a Stanley rechargeable headlamp that was no longer charging. This one runs on AA batteries, which I prefer. I use this at home for projects and on my sailboat. It floats and it's good! The beam is quite bright, no worse than Stanley. The fold out stand is very handy for directing the light where you need it. Nice bonus feature! The projector is very light. I haven't abused it much so I can't comment on durability yet. It also has a trigger lock to prevent accidental activation when in storage. Good thing for my boat application. I like the headlight, four stars only because I didn't appreciate the durability factor. Oh yes, one more thing: Made in the USA!
