Like all Gearlights products, this flashlight is bright. You can hand hold it or flip the stand and use the multi-position stand when you need to light in want to record in an area where you need to work with both hands. It's like having an observer while you work. I believe it also has an SOS option when you press the button. The only thing I do complain about is that the head is made of a rubber material that doesn't grip or slide very well but does attract dust. Not a problem enough for me since I'm in my shop and I don't care if there are particles on it.
