I have a 52 inch Merwry ceiling fan. I ordered this as a replacement remote for Merwry as they don't sell the remote as a separate product and they force you to buy both the remote and receiver (laaame). In any case, the remote control works, but the dimming function does not work. . It just turns the light on or off, so no matter what brightness level you previously set for the ceiling fan, you'll be stuck at that level. I've tried holding down the dimming function button to no avail. In addition, it controls the fan speed and turns it on/off. You just need to make sure that the frequency switch matches the frequency of the ceiling fan receiver. So if you only like the fan rotation function and no dimming function, this will work. However, if like me you love setting the mood by dimming the lights, you'll instead ruin the mood by turning the lights off completely, tripping over the coffee table, breaking everything, and ruining an otherwise great occasion that'll make you happy. Even now you need a new coffee table. way to go.
