This product did exactly what was advertised, plugging in an SSD and hard drive as well as an SD card slot and I believe two USB ports. The transfer went smoothly, it would probably be faster if I just got a SATA cable and plugged in the drive, but I didn't have time to check the drives' read/write speeds and compare them to the speed of the device and the internal connections. My problems are: - The front panel (as well as the entire top) falls off almost completely. - The power button has become unreliable. Sometimes it just won't turn on. Sometimes it turns itself off. If you plan on using it a lot, I'd suggest something of a higher quality. If it's just for occasional use or an extra USB port, that's fine, especially for the price.
