This product does exactly what it's supposed to do. If you are new to installing car stereos (like me) then you need to slow down and read the instructions carefully (imagine reading) to understand these instructions well. I used this product to install a Kenwood KDC-X896 head unit in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 and it fits perfectly. The main unit is securely attached to the product, and the product fits in my car without modification.
