Only into day 2 of having this product, and will update this if anything changes, but overall impressed with the purchase. The unit showed up and assembled as described, very simple, folds apart, installed the legs and then set it up. Engineering is quite impressive.In comparison to buying a comparable unit at a furniture store, the price is almost half when you consider the store's delivery charge. The only benefit to buying at a store with delivery is they will take away your old boxsprings.The delivery company was odd to work with, wasn't really sure what they would do and the time and date I was given at the time of purchase was not honored. Fortunately, I was available when they were so it was delivered. They did call as promised 30 min's before arriving. Delivery means they haul the box in and drop it in the room of your choice and exit. That's fine and the gentlemen who did the delivery was very nice and professional. I did help him because his company sent him out solo because his assigned co-worker called in sick with Covid. Fortunately, I was able to help him (physically) or there may have been issues.I like the features of the remote, easy to use and understand. My bedframe is a Mission-style king, and I disassembled the interior supports and this new base fit in fine. I was concerned if I could use a bedskirt with my comforter set and I was able to do so. I cut 2 small holes for the front mattress retainer to slip through the bedskirt and into the base frame and that worked fine. I was also surprised that the bedskirt stayed in place even when raising and lowering the frame!Also, I wondered if I could keep storing items underneath the bed. Using the legs (removing the 2" extra riser) the frame sits off the ground and is in fact about 1" higher than the original boxsprings. That is fine with me and allows me to store underbed Rubbermaid storage containers.Overall very pleased. I can't speak to the "pain" factor, have no need for it at present but may be useful in the future.I did also purchase the extended warranty. Normally not a fan of buying these service agreements, but in this case, I had no desire to "ship it back" if problems arose! And, like most of these, it's insurance, so probably will never need it. At 10% of the overall cost, I say it's worth it.
