This little thing does its job well! I have a larger one from another brand that is more reliable, but I didn't want to spend twice as much on it. I bought it for my counter to connect a Nespresso machine to it. Sounds weird, but the machine heats the water and uses a pump to force the water through the pod to make the espresso. The pump causes the surrounding lights to dim and the pump sounds like it is choking due to lack of energy. When I had a machine with more power in another house, the coffee came out with a good froth. This AVR from Opti-UPS fixed the problem in the current house. The light is not dimmed and the Nespresso machine works as before. My only complaint is that while the unit is quiet, it makes a constant hum when switching to gain. So if you use it in the bedroom I wouldn't recommend it. That.
