Excellent Quality Radio

Excellent Radio. I have owned several small radios over the decades. Not surprisingly, advances in technology have led to significant improvements. This is a very small radio that easily fits in a shirt pocket. Despite its small size, the sound is clear at both low and high volumes. The sound quality is generally very good for most music, but not for classical music. I haven't used the alarm buzzer but when set to radio alarm it works very well. And what is very important for a healthy sleep, the volume is very high. This takes about 10 or 12 minutes before you leave. The instructions for setting the alarm clock could be improved. At first I had a lot of trouble setting the alarm to "radio" instead of "buzzer". However, once I solved this problem, setting the alarm became easy. Another reviewer mentioned similarities between this radio and a radio sold under the Geson brand. Both radio stations are currently available. I have both The Geson's sound is great too. The volume is more than sufficient for normal listening. However, FM audio isn't as loud as the Ledianer, so when tuned to an FM station the alarm might not be as effective for a very sound sleeper. However, the AM sound is very loud on both radios. With the Geson radio, the alarm will not stop until it is manually turned off. I don't use the weather alert feature much, but I had no problem finding "Weather Station" and the audio is clear. I can't think of any other small radio better than this at any price. I haven't measured it, but I've used these radios a lot and the battery life is very good on both.
