I bought the American Red Cross's Clipray Manual Smartphone Charger and Flashlight specifically for its smartphone charging feature. However, it doesn't seem to have enough power for the Samsung Galaxy 8. There aren't really any instructions, so I turned it on and plugged it in first. My phone didn't even register that it was trying to create a schedule, so I tried booting it up while it was connected to my phone. On startup my phone showed it was in charging mode but after 5 minutes of startup there was no progress. In fact, I even went from 85% to 86% because my screen kept turning on with a drop in cranking (like switching hands). If it was just a flashlight I would give 4 stars. I actually bought two to give one as a gift but now I feel bad about giving something away that doesn't work as described.
