Super fast delivery thanks. After reading a few other reviews of buyers having trouble installing, here's what worked for me. Pass the screws through the bracket. Are the threads aligned so that you can easily twist them with your fingers? Or are the screws crossed? I had the transverse threads aligned so I tapped the flange that didn't look right with a hammer to get the screw threads to rotate easily. Then attach the bracket to the generator making sure the short tab is pointing towards the gas cap, move it slightly and tighten the bolts with the wrench provided. Only one end of the wrench connects properly to the screws, the short end. :) My pen fits well and tightly, I am very happy with this purchase.
