Review on 💻 Thermaltake TT Gaming PCI-E x16 3.0 Extender Riser Cable 200mm - Enhanced Performance and Sleek Black Design (AC-053-CN1OTN-C1) by Robert Long

I tried two other risers (cheap ones that look like old gray IDE cables). They worked fine with my EVGA GTX 980 but not my Powercolor RX480 (I think they call it the Red Devil? 1 fan 4GB RAM version). After a lot of searching on the web, it turned out that RX 480 cards draw MUCH more power out of the motherboard through the PCI-E slot than most Nvidia cards. I ordered one of these after hearing some good reviews. And it worked great on both my GTX 980 and RX 480. If you're looking for a stand, get one of these, there might still be some GPU motherboard combos that won't work well with it, but it's a lot higher quality and worth a few bucks more. FYI Thermaltake also has a longer version up to 1 meter (slightly different from this version). Linus from Linus Tech Tips tested them and was able to assemble them and reach almost 3 meters! Overall I'm very happy with this wish I bought. this is the first. After testing it, I ordered a second one for a different GPU (2 player 1 CPU system build). If you're curious about the performance, I've done a lot of testing, I'll share the results of the RX 480 here. Using my RX 480 card directly in the x16 slot, here are the Firestrike results I got in 3D marking. Firestrike Score 10346 Graphics Score 12823 Test 1 FPS 62.14 Test 2 FPS 50.56 Physics Score 13854 Combo Score 3658 Here are the results for the same system, the only change was installing the RX GPU 480. Thermal Analysis PCI-E ExtensionFirestrike Score 10716Graphic Score 12776Test 1 FPS 61.86Test 2 FPS 50.41Physics Score 13596Combination Score 4241 in that there was no loss of performance when expanding within the margin of error. I had the same results (no performance loss) with my GTX 980.
