Our kitten peed on this rug and I couldn't get the smell out. It was wonderful!

Worked very well, snatched the kitty litter without our kitten scattering it all over the house. But after an accident involving urine, IT WAS DESTROYED! I washed the carpet from the top and the wrong side but the stench doesn't come out. I gave it 2 stars because it kept most of the kitty litter off their paws.
