I made this right before a trip, so I dropped all my stuff without much experimentation and immediately found the problem. The suitcase can contain things as tall as partitions. , or you can have brushes in a brush holder. Not both, or it won't close. So I packed the brushes separately (which I wanted to avoid by buying such a large case - with makeup items in several places!) The lid popped open. But at the end of the day, the lid buckled under the weight of my two Urban Decay palettes in my zippered bag. To be honest, that annoyed me even more than the brush situation, which just makes this case look cheap. I think I'll send it back and look for something more durable.
