Updated review. I downgraded the rating from 4 stars to 1 star. We installed the light on February 6, 2021. On April 14, 2021, all the lights were out. The light lasted 67 days. We bought and installed 2 threads. Both failed in stages. The lights were hung loosely and in windy weather they could not come together. It hasn't rained so water and short circuits are not a problem. Temperatures were in the 70's or 80's so the heat wasn't an issue. While they were very pretty and gave off a soft but bright light, I wouldn't recommend them. Poor quality for the price house near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The lights are compatible with a voltage of 220-240 V. Copper wires and lights are covered with plastic and are weatherproof. The wall outlet plug is not weatherproof. The plug has a US standard 2-pin configuration. Our house has a 2 round pin configuration. To make this work we daisy chained the plugs to a surge protector with universal sockets and a long cable. We placed the surge protector and plugs in a weatherproof outdoor cable box (from Revain - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018HHMBW2/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_fabc_BHK0A3ZD0H2G2GGM6ATP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) and connected the surge protector to the home network. energy source. Works great. We used 2 packs of 100 string lights to cover an approximately 8ft x 18ft patio. As other reviewers have mentioned, it takes 2 people to install the lights. If the lanterns are twisted during shipping, they will want to wrap around themselves if left loose. To avoid tangling, one person should pull the wire a little while the other unfolds the lights. If you do this, installing the lights will be pretty easy. Cons: No remote control and lights don't flicker. Pros: These headlights are very bright but not irritating to the eyes at night. We were surprised how bright they are. Warm yellow light. Bright enough to toast or play cards. We'll update the review later with information on strength and durability.
