FAUCET LEAKS WITH PERMANENT DRIPS

Bought this as a gift 1.5 years ago but then bought something else to give away - it was in stock until I found it the other day and decided to use it - Had to place it over my sink after assembling and filling as it was quickly dripping out of the faucet/faucet and by the next morning almost all of the 2.5 gallons it contained had been used up - the instructions warn against over-tightening the plastic screws I'm pulling they didn't turn out, so I didn't do it. After losing almost all of the water, I decided to turn the faucet up a bit, but the dripping only decreased by about 95% (now dripping one every 7 seconds); If I tighten it, it will surely break. When removing water from a faucet/faucet, you must support the bottom of the faucet as it tilts down when you push down to access the filtered water. I've heard great stories about Berkey filtered water but now I have my doubts about their product - maybe the more expensive Berkey products outperform this one because they use better materials and are better constructed, but I'll never know because they do the Price is beyond our means - all I can say is if you buy one of their products then you will probably be as disappointed as I was when you buy the "Easy Gravity Filter". Now I'm wondering if their filters really do filter heavy metals as well as they claim they do. . .
