This device works exactly as intended, but. This is a mechanical device. If you don't know how to use mechanical devices, you can run into trouble. You have to take it with TWO hands. You need to slide it into place while also relieving strain on the base. How you do that? I can't help you here. Just find someone who knows how to work with mechanical devices that aren't immune to jerks. So if you drop your iPhone do you give it 1 star because the glass broke? Well, maybe you should. All I can say is that this device works great when used properly. You can ignore all 1 star reviews unless you think you can just pick this thing up and slide it into place - it needs fine tuning. If you don't understand what I'm talking about you can just practice with a piece of stiff wire like I did when I was 8 years old. Are you smarter than an eight year old? Okay, then you should be able to do it. Just don't blame the device if you fail.
