This set of long underwear is my first set of something called "butter soft bamboo viscose fabric, 95% bamboo viscose". My first impression is that it has a very strange smell, a bit like wet wool. The smell is neither unpleasant nor overpowering but noticeable and will hopefully fade with time or repeated washings. The fabric is smooth and comfortable to wear. The waistband is very wide and doesn't dig in. It also has moisture-wicking and antimicrobial properties, according to documentation, and should work well as a base layer when hiking, skiing or biking in late fall or outdoors in mild winter air.
