I wasn't too happy spending over $20 on a pair of socks, but I did it because I wanted to avoid the pain of cold, wet feet when doing professional snow removal. I wish I had bought a pair of these 5 years ago. It would save me a lot of suffering. These socks are just what I needed to keep my feet absolutely dry, warm and comfortable while spending hours outside clearing the sidewalks for my clients. When I first got them, I thought they were weird. They were like a neoprene surf suit but softer. They looked like they would keep my feet dry but I was still skeptical. I didn't think I could stand in the water and my feet wouldn't even get a little wet so I had to try. I got in the tub and stood in the water, putting my feet right under the faucet, wetting my socks as best I could, even trying to get water in my socks by rubbing my legs together. Wet on the outside but dry on the inside! I was surprised and impressed by how well they work! I no longer fear cold, wet feet when digging with the shovel. Suddenly the $22 price seems like a bargain to avoid aches and pains. These are great socks. They fit well, are comfortable and well made. The only thing they could improve would be if they had a loop tag on both socks instead of just one because they could be hung by the tag to dry. I machine washed them but didn't tumble dry because I didn't want to melt or damage them. It took about three hours for them to dry completely. They fit and function the same as they did before washing. I am very happy with my purchase!
