Geat Home Subwoofer - Vintage Energy ES-8 replaced with original 8 ohm amp

This is my second purchase of the same size and model. The first returned on June 2, 2016, who eventually died. A lifespan of almost 3 years is not bad for a speaker in this price range. I needed a replacement and was able to get exactly the same thing again. It went into the 1998 Energy ES-8 (100W) vintage subwoofer. Approximately 0.92 cubic feet (cubic feet). ported 2" round and 9" long facing backwards. The neckline was originally set back 8 3/4 rounds. I had to widen it with a Dremel sanding tool (which is what I had at the time) to fit the 9 inch wheel. However, I did connect an 8 ohm speaker since the original amp was designed for it. I paused from low to medium volume for over 5 hours of continuous playback of various styles of music. From what I recall this subwoofer works even better than the original power subwoofer, really hits the low end, rocking the room during some PC games (Elite Dangerous) and really works with trance and BPM music too. Why am I using it with other speakers? in my setup: I use it to make music, play games, edit audio and just listen to music. This is paired with some vintage Event 20/20 Studio speakers with Optimus Center, Rear and secondary front channel B. All Vintage Optimus speakers have also been rebuilt (only the round foam has been replaced). While I would have preferred to have the old Energy speaker's coil and foam repaired and replaced, it was in too bad shape to worry about. Because it's cheap, it works very well for me (so far) on a budget. Just make sure you rest for at least 5 hours or more at low to medium settings and make sure your amp is rated for the right configuration. If you need an 80 ohm line in series, or your amp is rated for a stable 2 ohm impedance, you can step it down to 2 ohms in parallel.
