Bought as a gift my son is having his first communion. He was excited, but then things quickly changed. The compass looks VERY worn or faded, more than expected. The lettered lid is made of stamped metal and has a very sharp edge that could cut your finger if you slide along the edge. When opening and closing the lid, the hinge broke as shown in the picture. I opened it, not my son. Cheap cr@p! What a disappointment and waste of money! I had good expectations as a gift because the quality just isn't there.
