Central Arizona has an unfavorable climate for painting. Sure, we don't have snow and ice, so we don't have harsh chemicals and salt on our roads, but we do have dust storms, 300 days of sunshine a year, and summer temperatures between 110 and 120 degrees. This is where many cars lose their clear coat. But not mine. I hand polish both of my cars twice a year. I used to use an electric buffer but found it useless in tight spaces and was afraid I'd burn the paint (waxing is pretty good practice too). I'm not a fan of brands but I stick with the mainstream brands and always use liquid wax rather than paste simply because it's easier to apply and I don't see any difference in the end result. This wax lays exceptionally well. . I applied with a microfiber cloth. I got a nice even coat and didn't have to wait too long for it to tarnish so I could buff it with another microfiber cloth. Polishing was also easy as it came off with little effort. I had a few so-called "scuffs" on the paintwork, ie visible marks that didn't ruin ClearCoat, and this wax removed them all. The end results were excellent. I rubbed the car down in the garage but went outside to see if I missed anything and I have to say I did a great job. Nice and clean with a good shine.
