Feel free to buy. This is the best purchase I've made in a long time. I have very painful back with sciatica in both legs. During long journeys, the ball of my left foot hurt and eventually nerve pain developed in my left foot. I've been using articulated stirrups for a long time, but they felt heavy. I am a dressage rider and my horse has a very springy trot. I had a hard time keeping my heels down and the traction pads on the articulating stirrups never gave enough traction. These stirrups are lightweight, but the spikes on the wide insole/pressure plate keep your foot secure in the iron. I no longer have pain in my legs or feet on long journeys. The wide insole ensures better weight distribution and therefore a more secure fit. The pressure plate relieves my ankles and feet, I no longer have foot/leg pain on long rides. I can't recommend them enough! Buy them before they run out, you won't be disappointed!
