After reading the reviews I was glad to purchase this straightener. The one I have now has been with me for years and was finally ready to be replaced. I ordered the blue color, loved the color and it came in great professional packaging, just like the more expensive brands. I plugged it in, it warmed up quickly, but it caught my hair the first time. I tried it a second time, thinking maybe it was just the angle I was holding it or that it was new. The hair tangled again, making my hair look twisted. The iron does not get hot even at maximum power. I have long, fairly thick and fine hair. Not recommended if you have thin hair or are difficult to straighten.
