I haven't had them for a long time but they work quite well. Water leaked from a can of hairspray in the middle of the night. The activated charcoal helped neutralize the odor and chemical effects of the hairspray spill within 2-3 hours. I bought these bags to help with mold in bathrooms, kitchen odors and dust/allergens in other areas of the house. I have asthma and so far it hasn't affected me negatively. Easy to use, charge once a month for 1 hour or 2 hours in the sun on a cloudy day to capture the UV rays. They are much cheaper than electronic air purifiers that use electricity.
