UM013 Wired Mouse I chose this wired mouse because I needed a basic side workstation mouse. The computer it is installed on is only used occasionally and the mouse was quite old. This mouse has a low profile and feels small and comfortable in my small hands. There is a DPI button to change the "speed" or sensitivity of the mouse. It has two settings: 1000 and 2000. The wheel is textured and soft rubberized, has a comfortable feel and clear scrolling intervals (you can adjust this in mouse settings.) The mouse click is hard and unlikely to be triggered accidentally. Both right and left clicks are crisp. There are also forward and back buttons above the thumb rest. The thumb rest is contoured and textured with a soft rubberized finish, which I find makes it easier to control and move the mouse. I noticed that the right side of the mouse is also nice, even uniquely contoured and slightly textured, which makes using the mouse even easier. When I first plugged in the USB port, the drivers loaded immediately. The mouse has the usual red LED light on the bottom to show it's powered. USB and cable are thick and give me peace of mind that I won't damage the cable. For the past few days I've been using the mouse for work all day because I forgot to charge my wireless mouse batteries! The mouse seemed precise to me, very easy to use and productive. I'm very happy with this mouse and can't complain for a basic low profile mouse! I have many other mice for various laptops and computers at home and in my lab. Most standard mice are fine, but are larger and not as ergonomic. I also usually want to have a DPI switcher because I like to toggle the sensitivity depending on the work I'm doing.
