This shoe might be comfortable enough for someone with a narrower foot. I range between medium and wide so I was hoping the hook and eye closure would give me enough flexibility to wear this medium sized shoe. It didn't work because the toe box is too narrow, which looks like an odd food design advertised for seniors. I was also disappointed with the thin lining that didn't offer enough padding for comfort. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. I return them and look at the SAS options. These shoes are almost double the price, but what's the use of a hiking shoe that makes you uncomfortable.
