They are fine. I may have ordered at the wrong time as all the reviews were great but here is my personal take on what we got: The design is vibrant and well and evenly distributed on each shirt - a professional quality application was used. I can't tell if it's a very thick inked screen print or a heat pressed laminated vinyl, but I'm pretty sure it's a very thick inked screen print - whatever it is, it's thick and doesn't mix with the shirt. alone, so I definitely didn't expect it to last a couple of washes before peeling/cracking/wearing out. I did a little pull test to measure the paint boundary before it cracked/peeled/peeled and it flexed well with no immediate signs of tearing or shirt ripping, which is good. (The shirt definitely needs to be turned inside out to wash and machine wash cold/tumble dry on low heat.) All shirts were actually GILDEN youth size. I personally hate the size and fit of gold shirts because they are always baggy and short, which doesn't work for most kids, especially after a few washes. They shrink but the width stays the same: 4 out of 5 shirts are a tight blend and 1 is a different cut, but all don't match the overall length and width - another reason for the lower rating. It is likely that the shirts were bought in bulk at a discount since none of the shirts obviously passed the quality check for full price gold price shirts. The basis of my 3 star rating is basically knowing that after a few wears/washes they won't last much longer and for the price I would expect the design and shirts to be more store quality than used to be the thing you would do is order at a craft store/etsy. Again maybe I'm just unlucky - in any case I need to start swapping them out now as the sizes don't work because they are too big for a normal sized child and the length is too short (they are narrower to a 7 in the Length). /8 and the width is larger on 12/14 so there is a significant difference you can see, I hope this review helps other parents decide which size to use!
