Do not buy! I have 3 of these for 10 gallon betta tanks and love the idea of being able to adjust the inlet and outlet for the betta. After over a week of operation my tanks are still cloudy, this filter doesn't matter, I think I'll use sponge filters, I think that would be the best choice. I turned off the output so that there was no strong currant, it was good, I turned the input to the maximum and the suction is a joke. Personally I think the baffles in the filter are bad design, I don't think much water ever gets through the end into the media. Also watch out for the setting, the instructions are wrong, found this out the hard way!
