🐠 Enhance Your Aquarium Filtration with ZooMed Nano 30 External Canister Filter Review

I bought a ZooMed angle filter for my low tech planter and got good results so I decided to give this filter a try. same size from the aquarist's side. Setup was quick! The noise is low and my aquascape stays clean and beautiful! I am renovating a 27 gallon lowbay and will be buying another to use as my primary filtration. I am willing to install another one on my 30 gallon tank but I will be using Seachem HOB with this tank.

I've had this filter for about a month and a half now and I have to admit I'm disappointed. I have a 20 gallon tank and thought this filter would be perfect as it is rated for a 40 gallon tank and reviews have said how great it is for turtle shells. Well it isn't. Do not buy! I have 3 of these for 10 gallon betta tanks and love the idea of being able to adjust the inlet and outlet for the betta. After over a week of operation my tanks are still cloudy, this filter doesn't matter, I think I'll use sponge filters, I think that would be the best choice. I have a 20 length tank with heavy vegetation. I waited 3 weeks after ordering to receive it because of the corona virus. When I received it I was surprised by its size. It's a bit smaller than I expected and the photos don't really do it justice. I didn't use charcoal bags because the charcoal strips away all the vital plant nutrients.
