I have a 20 length tank with heavy vegetation. I waited 3 weeks after ordering to receive it because of the corona virus. When I received it I was surprised by its size. It's a bit smaller than I expected and the photos don't really do it justice. I didn't use charcoal bags because the charcoal strips away all the vital plant nutrients. I ordered a Seachem matrix and am using that instead of plastic parts and charcoal. My tank looks phenomenal and the flow is really good with the adjustable nozzles. While the filter can definitely handle more than 20, I wouldn't take much more. A general rule of thumb is to refilter at least 50% of your aquarium. If you order this you will not be disappointed, the product is really good and worth every penny. I recommend upgrading carbon and plastic to the Seachem matrix ($10), but it's not necessary. This filter is a workhorse and I highly recommend it.
