This hammock seat and door guard are well made from durable materials and appear to be in good working order. The sides seem useful for protecting the doors but don't prevent what my dog does when he sees another dog out of the car he starts digging through the door panels to get out. So I bought several door protectors in addition to this hammock and I think this combination will work better. Perhaps a hammock with no side rails and then adding door guards would be the best combination for me as unbuckling the side guards and undoing the strap that goes to the top rails would be awkward every time the dog got in and out of the car gets out. I am satisfied with the purchase and I think it is a good product. I can see how useful the side panels will be, especially on long trips as they keep the dog in a certain area. The Velcro fasteners with which the belt can be attached to the belt mounts are also nice.
