The pattern looks more printed and less defined on the fabric than in the photo, the patterns are sewn mismatched or flow over the seams. The fabric for the dress is quite sticky (almost like fabric for a Halloween costume), has a chemical smell from the packaging. For the price and for my 5 year old daughter's delight that she suits me (and the joy it brings me!) It's good but maybe not what everyone is looking for. Also, because of the high mileage, even with the ability to tie, I had to size down for my daughter to keep from falling off her (4T for a 5 year old) and mine would wear just a little loose. I also ordered blue and will keep the ones that most closely resemble the photos of the dresses ordered.
