We have been using these containers for several years. They can be heated in the microwave and are relatively easy to clean by hand. Just be careful not to heat above the boiling point as the material will appear to melt. They are much easier to store and dispose of in other similar sized containers but with different lids. I hate looking for lids and seeing if they fit. Now they're all the same, so it's much faster to store food. The lid also stays on the container well. I'm not sure if it's airtight, but it's very tight.
