Review on Firestone All-In-One Analog W217602809 for C2500HD/C3500 (01-10) by Scott Bradford

Just assembled, took a total of 12 hours. If you don't have a car lift, expect the installation to take about the same amount of time. I had to make my own heat shields for each airbag as I have dual exhaust, as well as a bracket to mount the compressor to the frame. What I didn't like was that the supplied heat shield first had to be mounted on the airbag, between the bracket and the airbag. The two I made can be installed at any time. The compressor is also weak, looks like a toy and takes a long time to inflate the airbags. It is by no means instantaneous or even fast. Be prepared to hold the switch down for a minute while the display creeps up. There are no instructions or recommendations regarding the location of the compressor, the compressor air intake, the wiring harness or the pressure gauge. The wire connectors are very simple, you can find them at an auto parts store. The pressure gauge is reliable and inconvenient to install anywhere in the car. You need at least 2 inches behind the gauge to clear the air lines. The mounting holes are along the top edge of the cluster, allowing you to mount it just below the bottom edge of the dashboard. I could really give this product a shout out but I just want to finish by saying that all is said and done, the airbags deployed they held the air and I am very happy towing my boat. Unfortunately I don't know how long they will last, but overall the quality was acceptable. I can say that a lot of research and development has gone into the development of this system. I would buy again if I knew what I was getting myself into.
