I bought this to replace an Ikea chair I bought about 10 years ago. I assumed I would get the same. It's not and I'm disappointed. It is very light which I think may be an advantage for some but I need the weight of the earlier version due to the way I use the stool. Also, the bottom step isn't as deep (back to front) as the previous version. It's too flat, which creates a feeling of stability when I climb the top step. If I had something to hang myself on I might find a stool more appropriate, but the purpose for which I bought this stool has no such opportunity. I rarely return items. If I still had the packaging I would send it back.
