I was skeptical about buying these screws because they were very cheap compared to other options, but I'm glad I gave them a try. I bought them for just over 3 cents a screw which was tremendous value and I've been very happy with them so far. I've used them during a deck refurbishment to replace old nails that are popping out and haven't had any problems with them so far. Obviously I didn't have to drill pilot holes when replacing drop nails, so I can't comment on how they work without pilot holes. Some of the screws are slightly bent, which I found more difficult when trying to screw them in without pre-drilled holes, but as I wanted to buy a large number of screws without spending double the amount charged locally. in our big stores, I'm very glad I gave them a chance. They came in a heavy box and I'm glad I was able to send them free with Prime Shipping.
