Review on πŸ”Š Universal Adjustable Heavy-Duty Speaker Wall Mounts by Mount-It! - Suitable for Bookshelf, Large or Small Speakers - 1 Pair, 22 lbs Capacity - Black by Scott Hadlock

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for the price but not for full range monitors

It is difficult to rate this product. I've given it an optimistic rating based on what I think is the best use case (small satellite speakers). Application I bought them for: To elevate multiple small monitors above my computer desktop (7.5" x 10" dx 13" and 12-15 lbs). Suitable Application: Satellite speakers in a home theater system (5- I would downgrade these heavier speakers to about 2.5 stars for two reasons: Any good quality wall mount is fine because it severely limits bass response - an octave or more. Even this 15 pound speaker shakes quite a bit I was tempted to pay for much more expensive K&M bindings except for an experiment I did (see below). Worried about the speakers falling and destroying my laptop, but the wobbling was annoying and a bit confusing. ( 2) Relatively easy to install (3) Vertical (angle) adjustment is relatively easy to do I expect that to be the case with any wall mount of any quality but can't say for sure I have actually tested this concept by putting some speaker stands into operation. Luckily, the height of the stand was very close to the height I had the speakers mounted at, and I was able to position the speakers within an inch of where they were on the wall brackets, both frontally and vertically. Bass response returned with the stands. This isn't a problem for satellite speakers, but it's a big minus for full-range speakers (to the point where a small monitor has "full" range). I could just as easily downsize my speakers if I wanted to take away the bass that much, and then I'd have desk space. Conclusion: I went back to desktop editing (sitting on spikes) and life was good. if a little tight. Experimenting with the stand convinced me not to try K&M stands which need to be extremely durable and at a price point to reflect that.

Pros
  • ELEGANT AND DURABLE SPEAKER BRACKET: Constructed of heavy duty steel and adorned with an ABS plastic cover, it looks elegant especially when installed at home. The robust construction of high-strength materials ensures that even the largest bookshelves and center speakers are securely attached to the wall.
Cons
