Too heavy and too thick.
When I switched the ceiling lights from fluorescent to LED I tore out part of the drywall. I use them as a quick fix, but they are so thick and heavy that the new LED lights can't sit flush. These rings increase the weight of the lamp, causing it to fall from the ceiling. Also note that they are a matte color and the finish of my ceiling lights is glossy so they don't match very well. I used glue to secure them and hopefully nobody will notice the color variation.
