Review on πŸ’‘ Razer Chroma ARGB Controller by Martin Alvarez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

the best and the worst

So this thing is great in many ways and brings some much needed unification to the RGB computer. Overall I think it's great and it does exactly what it's designed to do. so why 3 stars? The design makes the already terrible Argb pin/connector design even WORSE. The pins are set deep into the case and there's something wrong with the spacing because it's almost impossible to get the plugs in properly and then they're pretty damn loose. So if you hit your tower, chances are you'll have to backtrack into it. how. Moisten the edges so the socket is held more firmly in place for routing or better control by QC as I'm sure this issue varies from device to device. It's just annoying as hell when I give Razer the props to create this and then spend an hour struggling with their insanely stupid design. I just connected 5 wheel fans and n cpu pump leds to it, wanted to do them all individually but ended up having to chain them together because it was insanely frustrating to get the 6 connectors to fit properly. but it does what it says on the tin and I love the color software. This keeps me from running additional RGB software. no kite center, no icue. Anyway, I'm already using a Razer mouse, so there's a synapse. It's just mind boggling how bad the plug design is.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
