Review on Toshiba XD-E500 1080p Upconverting DVD Player with Enhanced Detail by Robert Sorrells

To be honest the Toshiba XD-E500 I bought has been around for quite a while but has never had a disc in it. I only use it to watch NetFlix. This is a wireless device which made setup very easy! The remote even has a dedicated button to go directly to NetFlix. The Toshiba XD-E500 also offers a range of other internet cinema services, both free and pre-programmed with a subscription for easy access. Since I've only had a classic tube TV so far, I can't say anything about the quality of the high-resolution picture. However, the sound quality is good. Another important point is the very reasonable price of the Toshiba XD-E500. My only criticism of this device is that the menus for searching by title and for selecting internet services are clunky and unintuitive to the point that I actually came very close to reading the manual, which would have been a first for me. In general, it does what we need, which is to access Internet TV and movies. Would I recommend the Toshiba XD-E500 to others? Absolutely! There is a lot of money in this block.
