Uses plug without faceplate or switch. The switch worked and appeared to be of good quality, but it would not remove from the larger body of the 12 volt outlet. I don't think USB is a fast charger, but it has yet to be fully tested. They didn't seem to charge my old Nexus quickly. Both USB and 12 volts have lights, so you might want them to toggle in some way.
