Review on 🧊 True Cubes Clear Ice Cube Tray: Create Perfectly Clear Ice with the 4-cube Tray by Dan Santos

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Eparé vs. TrueCubes vs. Glacio and the winner is...

I decided to do a full review as I was looking for the best clear ice tray on the market. I chose the Eparé Clear Ice System, Glacio Clear Cube Ice Duo, and True Cubes Clear Ice Cube Tray as they looked like the best at Revain and were all well priced in the $35-$40 range. distribution of rewards if you do so. don't want to read the whole analysis: 1st place: Eparé Clear Ice System: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TV7JV232. Place: True Cubes Clear Ice Cube Tray: https://www.amazon.com/dp/ /B07422QWCP 3rd place: Glacio Clear Cube Ice Duo: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N8JVBP1 I will every tray compare based on the qualities listed below and start each rating with 2 points, deducting points if there are problems found, then divide by 2 and round to the nearest whole number to arrive at the 5 star Revain rating system. Clarity and SizePackaging and InstructionsSeparation - 2.0 I think this one had the best unboxing experience, I would say it was like opening a fancy phone, the box was the same size as True Cubes but it has some spacers for the protection product. I also really liked their graphical instructions versus the standard text based instructions, they also have a link to their website which has more detailed instructions. I added this picture. True Cubes - 1.0 The box had no padding or pocket for the product inside and it looks like it was misprinted as the valve on the back opened so I charge 0.5 for that. The instructions were clear but mostly text so could have been more descriptive for that 0.5 discount. Glacio - 0.5. It came in a box, that's all. It's a plain black box made from cheaper cardboard as the tabs were visible through it, no added protection or pouch, no instructions. full. As far as filling goes I think it was pretty easy but I think if they put a fill line in the bowl so there is no overflow it would help to maybe connect the chambers at the bottom as well, other designs have done it . I take 0.5 off because it can be improved on the ease of filling. I decided to also weigh the amount of water used per cube versus the final weight of the cube. The total weight of the water was 852g, ie 212.5g per cube, the final weight of the cube was 115g, ie about 54% of the water was used in the finished cube. Real dice - 1.25. So I didn't have enough measuring cups for this, but I'd say he used about 5 cups of water since both of the two cups I used were almost full to the brim. This uses about 1.25 cups to make each cube. As for filling, I think multiple lines of filling could have been used as well, but the inner chamber is linked for easier filling, so I just fire the .25. I weighed that too. The total weight was 1038g, so 259.5g per cube, the final weight of the cube was 120g, so about 46% water was used to make the final product. Close enough to Eparé but even more waste so it would take 0.5. Glacio - 0.75 Here 3 cups per 2 cubes were used, so about 1.5 cups per cube. I'd still say a fill line could be used on them, but due to the closed shape it was a lot easier to put in the freezer, so I'm only giving a 0.25 here. I weighed that too. The total weight was 812, ie per cube of 406 g the final weight of the cube was 105 g, so about 26% of the water was used to get the final product. By far the worst of the three as the war runs like a waste so 1 point. TrayEparé Size - 2.0 Undoubtedly the most compact design, no comments or suggestions here! I posted a photo showing how much space they took up in my freezer and also compared to a carton of milk. True Dice - 1 I'd say it's a regular size as it still produces 4 dice, but there's clearly a lot of wastage in terms of size here. as the eparé tray is probably about half the size. I deduct 1 point for these concerns. Glacio - 0.5 This is definitely the biggest of the 3 for only 2 cubes, I couldn't stick it in the bottom of my freezer and barely squeezed it into the top. . So that would be my lowest score if I subtract 1.5. Easy to remove Eparé - 1.5 I poured some warm water in the container and let it thaw for a few minutes, the soft bottom makes it easy to remove from the structure, but it takes a while. It could be improved if there was a way not to wait for the tray to thaw. True Cubes - 1.5 I did the same warm water trick as above and since the whole body is soft I'd say it was relatively easy to thaw. take out, need some time to thaw. So I would say it's the same lightness as the Eparé Glacio 2.0. By far the easiest, it doesn't require any time to thaw. I was able to pull out the top of the tray after taking it out of the freezer. Clarity & Size IceEparé - 2.0 Stored in the freezer for 35 hours and used purified mineral water. The result is a regular 2x2 inch cube. The weight of the cube is 115 grams. There were small lines on the ice but barely noticeable, I would say this is a perfect 2.0. True Cubes - 2.0 Stored in the freezer for 35 hours and used purified mineral water. The result is a regular 2x2 inch cube. The weight of the cube is 120 grams. I noticed that the bottom of the ice floe in the tank wasn't completely frozen yet, which struck me as strange after being in the freezer for so long. Still, this is the perfect 2.0. Glacio - 1.0 Stored in the freezer for 35 hours and used purified bottled water. The cube is just under 2 inches tall, looked like 1.75. By weight it is 106g. I noticed that the bottom of the ice floe in the tank wasn't completely frozen yet, which struck me as strange after being in the freezer for so long. There was also an ugly seam on the ice, and it really wasn't as clear as the rest. I'm subtracting 1.0 for clarity, seam, and a slightly smaller size. Summary Eparé - 9.0 / 2 = 4.5 Overall this should be what everyone buys, it's right price, right size, right really everything. Maybe they can make some small improvements, but this is best in class. True Cubes - 6.75 / 2 = 3.375 That's good, and since the Eparé are the same price, there really aren't many reasons to choose them. .Glacio - 4.75/2=2.375 Cheapest and worst, I think they were the first to market but they definitely didn't bother to perfect the design, plus there are many similar styles on Amazon like this one, would not recommend it.
