Last year I bought HQUA-OWS-12 Water Sanitizer here at Revain. After only 13 months of use, I noticed the bulb had burned out. Knowing that these bulbs have a finite lifespan, I figured they were the problem. However, the new bulb did not light up either. The only other links in the chain were bad exit or ballast. Since other devices used the same socket, I ruled this out as a cause. Now try to find the ballast (HQUA-OWS-455EB). Revane didn't have them, and neither did the other places I was looking for. Fortunately I'm familiar enough with electronics to know that this ballast should be a direct replacement and may be a better match for my HQUA-OWS-12L bulb as it was rated at 40W and that was the maximum. appreciation of the original. This one starts at 40W and goes all the way up to 55W, so I'm hoping it will last longer than the original. I have owned and worked with these water sanitizers for over 15 years and have never had an issue with the ballast before. Oh yeah CHINA, what can I say?
