Ballast lasts approximately a year before needing replacement. I tried another updated model from another company and it only lasted 3 months. I bought a device with 2 ballasts 3 years ago and now have 4 ballasts.

This is a much better ballast than the one that came with my original reverse osmosis system. My original ballast was not grounded. This one does and works great and way better than my original ballast. Worth the money and fast delivery too.

I used these to replace a high powered aquarium light using 2-96w compact fluorescent bulbs (one for each fluorescent bulb) and 2 halogen bulbs. They work great and fit in the right places on the light body. I can't find replacement ballasts for the 96w compact bulbs anywhere, but they work just as well.

Purchased for our water system. It's for air only. It does not have a waterproof cap on the power cord and cannot be used with a UV water disinfection system. The lid is simply pressed onto a non-threaded plastic lid. Will have to send back. Disappointed as the description seemed to say it would work for UV water systems. I was thinking of cutting the wire off my old transformer and screwing it into the new one, but the transformer is soldered and can't be disassembled without breaking.

Last year I bought HQUA-OWS-12 Water Sanitizer here at Revain. After only 13 months of use, I noticed the bulb had burned out. Knowing that these bulbs have a finite lifespan, I figured they were the problem. However, the new bulb did not light up either. The only other links in the chain were bad exit or ballast.
