Does it work with Samsung 850 EVO M.2 500GB

I have a known good 850 EVO M.2 drive, known good power and SATA cables (works with other drives) and When I put the hard drive in, it doesn't see its 850 EVO in this adapter either in the BIOS or in Windows. Unfortunately, converting the 850 EVO into a PC that doesn't have an M.2 could have been a practical option, but that wasn't the case. Given the price of the adapter, I don't even think it's worth sending it back. I guess I'll just toss this piece of junk in the trash and go about my business. I think you get the same as if you order from an unknown foreign company.
