Nice diving toy. We will never have enough gems. I have several different types to try, they all seem to be hard plastic and not silicone. It will probably hurt if he drops someone they hit. They're sharp stuffed diving toys, not too bad but they'll bump if you step on them, it'll hurt. If you use them for party they are big and amazing if you use them for treasure chest it would be perfect after play with them scratch some of them but my kids don't care.
