Seems to help keep sediment out of the water system
We went through several hot water tanks in quick succession. I decided to install a water filter and it helped, but some filters caused water pressure issues for a few days. It seems like a good choice for filtration without causing water pressure issues and doesn't need to be changed as often. But I still switch about once a month.
