I brought this to my office to combat a colleague's constant heating which is drying the air and making me cough. This humidifier is a great addition to my desk and has drawn a lot of attention and envy from other co-workers. I like the USB feature because it easily connects to my computer on my desk or the nearest outlet. The dual function (constant flow vs. bursts) is good too, although I found short bursts to be more annoying in terms of noise; A continuous flow is easier to drown out with white noise. I don't normally use the lighting feature unless I'm showing a curious colleague all the cool tricks, but it's fun to turn on every now and then. . I'm not entirely sure it works unless it's right under my nose (which isn't great because it has a weird smell), but I'll keep doing it no matter what. While I don't know if it's really worth it, I love having it. There is enough water for a day's work, which is ideal for me. It's a cold stream of air, so my hands get very cold if it's too close. It also flows straight into the air, so the mist appears to just fall around it rather than being pushed in a specific direction.
